Since I received a Nook Color for Christmas I decided to go ahead and use the pattern I purchased a few weeks back to make a cover for it.  Since my mom has a Kindle 3 (the pattern has measurements for every popular e-reader out there) I wanted to work out the kinks before attempting one as a gift for her.   Mine turned out ok!  There are a few things that I’m going to do differently next time but {Read More}

Lap Quilts as Gifts

So I can finally post photos of the lap quilts I was working on since they were given out last night as gifts.   I purchased fleece one piece panels from Fabric.com and quilted them to flannel as the backing.  They turned out really soft and heavy enough to be a great lap quilt.  I love them!  Now I want to do some more of these.    They were simple to put together.  Because the panel stuck so well to {Read More}

Unfinished Binding I got a lot done over the last week as far as this Daisy quilt was concerned.  I finished quilting it and I stitched the binding onto the front.  Now I need to sit down and watch several good movie marathons this weekend and finish stitching the binding onto the back by hand.  I’ll be done before I leave for Tallahassee on Monday I think if I can sit still long enough.  If not, I’ll be finishing it {Read More}

I didn’t have enough to do so….

Don’t Call Me Betsy is doing a great thing hosting a 2011 goal blog post linkup.  I love lists and I love goals so of course I’m going to participate.  I’m limiting myself to 12 goals for the year.   More classes.   I want to take at least 3 classes in 2011 and develop some new skills, learn new patterns and piece new blocks.  I’m already signed up for one the first week of January so there is one out {Read More}
