So I can finally post photos of the lap quilts I was working on since they were given out last night as gifts. I purchased fleece one piece panels from Fabric.com and quilted them to flannel as the backing. They turned out really soft and heavy enough to be a great lap quilt. I love them! Now I want to do some more of these.
They were simple to put together. Because the panel stuck so well to the flannel backing it was simple to quilt and I took pains to make sure no bumps would form during the quilting process. They turned out better than anticipated. I finished both of these in one day.

The quilting blends into the flannel so it isn’t too noticeable. I spaced the lines about two inches apart to make sure the quilt stayed together. Such an easy way to make a gift for the sports fan in your life!
I didn’t have to bind them since I stitched the two sides together and then turned them inside out. I think it gives it a better look.

You worked on Gators and Noles blankets at the same time? You're lucky your sewing room didn't explode, Lol. Merry Christmas from a Nole.
I even washed them together! My washing machine still works thankfully. I took quite a few chances.
Those came out great! I love fleece!
