What is a Quillow? Quillow |kwi – lo|
noun
1: a quilt that folds into a pillow
2: a pillow that unfolds into a quilt.
I first heard of these when I joined my quilt guild and heard them talking about charity projects. I had no idea what in the world they were talking about and envisioned something involving an old fashioned quill used for writing. I was wrong!
These make for handy gifts for family members, children, friends that travel often or folks that just like to cuddle up with a small quilt.
Nora over at A Cuppa and a Catch Up wrote a handy tutorial on how to make these quillows! I just love them. I’ve seen other tutorials out there but hers has wonderful photos for the spatially challenged people out there (*waves hand in the air wildly*) that need a visual aid to do anything.
