I’ve had a collection of sashiko designs in my embroidery folder on my PC for a while and tonight I finally had an excuse to stitch one out! I’m in the “Taste of the Orient” mini quilt swap and needed to do my quilt before the deadline hits in a few days. I picked out a cherry blossom sashiko design from Embroidery Library and got everything setup to stitch it out.
I think it turned out pretty good! My binding leaves a bit to be desired but it is difficult to bind tiny objects. This one is about 6″ square.
I think it is really sweet! I hope my partner likes it too.

That’s really pretty!!
Beautiful!
Stunning, gorgeous! Thank you for sharing.
Have a super great sewing and stitching day!
Katie that is so lovely, I could easily adapt that t hand stitching, the flowers could be thread painted and the swirling lines hand quilted, and because it is a small piece even for a slow poke like me it would be a reasonably quick project. Speaking of which I am finally coming to the end of my embroidered Crinoline Lady and I’ll send you a pic of her as requested.
Oh I look forward to seeing the photo!
Love it!
