An Art Quilt for Fall

After I saw Tanesha’s photos and post regarding her little owl Fall quilt I decided this would be my fun project for me before the quilt show stuff. I’ve been meaning to make myself a fall quilt for the office but just never sat down to really do it. So yesterday I grabbed some fabric from my stash and got to it!

All that I have left to do is the binding. I put it on last night and messed it up so I brought it to work so I could pick the binding out and redo it tonight to finish it up. Then it’ll be ready to hang on my office door! I think he is just the cutest thing.

The applique is entirely raw edge and I used polyester embroidery thread for the applique and quilting so it would have a bit of a sheen. Not bad for a project done in one afternoon!
