Free Pattern Friday – Chevrons!

I’m seeing Chevron fabric everywhere I turn – lots of custom machine embroidery shops are getting a huge demand for appliques done in Chevron fabric and now I’m seeing them translated into quilts more and more! They aren’t hard to do and create a striking appearance with all sorts of different fabric colors.

There are all sorts of ways you can do this pattern as a quilt and it isn’t difficult at all. I think it’s a great way to use scrap fabrics up in a simple pattern.

Quilts can be created using the half-square triangle unit OR a strip-pieced unit.

If you are using your own fabrics and you want a fast and easy way to make a lot of HST units you may want to try my foundation pieced method.
