Riley Blake Panel Quilt Finish

I’m slowly working my way through my UFOs and trying to get them out of my hair! This was one of my UFOs. Intended as a baby gift but was about six months late. That’s okay though! I still think it makes a great play quilt.

This is the Riley Blake Good Life panel.

The quilting on this panel was interesting. I tried a variety of things on it. My favorite part was following the chevron pattern in the background behind the tree. The rest was a combination of free motion and straight line quilting for the border. I embroidered the label for the back.

Feels good to get a finish finally!

  1. This turned out so nice. I love your outlining stitches around the tree and the chevrons in the background spaces. It really gives it an extra special touch. I also love that you combined a label with your hanging triangles. I never thought of that and it’s such a great idea for smaller pieces. Well done, my friend!

  2. It turned out so cute! I love that panel.

  3. Well done. I need to keep an eye out for a panel like this to practice my FMQ and following a design.

  4. Soooo cute! Looks as good on back as front. Great Job!

  5. It’s really adorable Katie! I was wondering how did you do the background quilting, well done! Echoing is the best, isn’t it? I’m glad the straight line border quilting worked out at the end! I love the way the back looks that you can still see the tree in the quilting :)

  6. Great job!

  7. Lovely panel quilt. Nice job on the quilting too. I especially like the way you did the label in the corner. Might have to try that. 😀

  8. So cute!! The quilting looks great.

  9. ОООО, просто отличное покрывало! Я очень люблю такие рисунки! Стёжка проста и не перебивает рисунок!
