WIP Wednesday – Bags and Such

I tried a new Quiltsmart kit ‘The Bitty Bag” (the smallest version of the Mondo and Midi bag) this weekend and really had fun with it. There are so many cute variations you can do with this kit to make the bag you want. I decided to make a foldover flap and shoulder strap but I may make another one and do it with drawstrings. This is the Mimi by Chez Moi for Moda line. The kit comes with enough pre-printed interfacing to make two bags and also includes two hooks and a button cover kit for one button.  It only takes 13 charms to make the outside of the bag!

Used a curved quilting needle to sew the shank button.

I also finished up some corgi things for the CorgiAid auction/raffle happening at the Florida Corgi Picnic. Hopefully the items bring in some money to help the cause. This was my very first ballcap done on my embroidery machine and I’m rather pleased with how it turned out! I’ll have to get some more.

Fun with faces

Some funny face pix I took after I got dressed for a wedding last week. It was out on the beach and was really beautiful.

Comments

  1. Your bag turned out so well. It’s so cute and adorable that it “almost” makes me want to ditch my all purpose bag in favor of some cute quilted ones. I gotta get just a bit more girlie first. (plus get a bit more organized) 😉

  2. CAYOOT bag!!! I’ve just recently gotten excited about making bags, and this pattern is going on my wish list cause I have been drooling over these! The corgi baseball hat is killing me too!
