It’s been a busy week and I haven’t done much sewing or quilting. I’m taking a class at my LQS involving machine applique and thread sketching/quilting so after the first session on Saturday I went home with a ton of homework. This Saturday also kicks off 6 weeks of teaching for me so I’m gonna be pretty busy until mid-November. I got my homework done last night and now I just need to prep for my Quilting in the Hoop class that happens on Saturday.
I call this the million bajillion piece wallhanging. I was seriously hating it by the time I got to the second flower. Saturday is part 2 of the class where she shows us how to “thread sketch” on top of everything. It’s basically free motion quilting with lots of different thread colors.
Byron was super proud of himself figuring out he could stick his antler between the couch cushions and chew on it without holding it up. (This is the dog couch so I don’t mind him getting it dirty.)
I made some new Owl keyfobs int he hoop. This one turned out really cute.
I bought the fabric kit for Kimberly Einmo’s new Craftsy Mystery Quilt Workshop the Radiant Jewel Quilt Along and I can’t wait to cut it up and get started.
Byron loves to play tug tug when I get home
Ringo and I went on a double-date with some friends on this dinner cruise that goes out into Tampa Bay. I had to get a photo of this dude passed out up on deck. He seemed to be enjoying himself.
Ringo and I aren’t really romantics but sometimes he does something that makes me say “awww” – he’s been getting all sorts of Cisco certifications and didn’t want me to feel left out.
