Class Sample Preview and a mini update

My surgery went well and I’ve been home recovering. Lots of time to sit and do quilting stuff and small projects when I’m up for it. I’ve been getting a lot done! I wanted to share a little preview of some of the things I’ll be teaching next quarter.

ITH Owl Sewing Kit

I love this little in-the-hoop owl sewing kit from Embroidery Garden.  It doesn’t take very long to make one in the hoop and it is such a useful kit to keep all your binding supplies together. Who doesn’t like having a little stuffed owl carrying around all their hand sewing supplies? It’s just too cute.

ITH E-book Case

The e-reader craze is still going strong and everyone wants a cute little custom case to carry their readers in. I have a Nook Color and a Nook Glowlight so it’s nice having a little case just for them. The case design is a Five Star Font design for e-readers In The Hoop and the handle can be customized a number of ways. It also makes a cute clutch don’t you think?

Quilted Keyfobs ITH

Quilted Keyfobs ITH

These handy little keyfobs come in two varieties: finished edge and raw edge from Digistitches designs.  They make super quick gifts and are perfect as point-and-shoot camera handles, keyfobs, zipper pulls etc. You can customize them with names too. This will be a quick one hour class session.

Mini update on the whole marriage thing: we’re talking more and I’m hoping maybe we can work through this together and make our marriage stronger. I’m optimistic right now and it would be the best Christmas gift I could ask for if we work on this and we are both happy again.

  8. Love all your creations. The owls are especially adorable! I will say a little prayer for you and your hubz to make the right decisions. 🙂 Thanks for all you do.

  9. When I listened to your last podcast explaining to us about why you have been absent from pod casting and blogging I was shelling peas and crying at the same time. Having read this posting where you and Ringo still care enough about each other and your marriage that you are both willing to try at least to sort out your problems has really made my Christmas Day. I truly wish you both to be happy again and Katie, best wishes for recovery from your operation.

  10. So I just wet and bought the owl sewing kit design and it will probably be my first embroidery project on the new Pfaff. Can’t wait to try it out! Glad you are doing better and hope your Christmas was awesome!
